On this page I have wrote down some questions I have got from some of
the people I have been in
contact with and I also try to answer
those questions as good as I can.
There are also some questions on this page that I have thought about
myself and want to answer them too.
Question: Can you come for fittings?
Answer: No. I live in
of a seamstress so they are “real”. I have send
them before to people who I have make orders with and
there has been no problem. I don´t
think there should be any problem. If you just trust me we can make
many good business times together.
Question: Can´t you make the dresses for
yourself?
Answer: I don´t have the time to do it. If I
had the time I can´t take the risk of ruin a fabric.
I know that I
can sew if there is someone with me so I can ask
if I need any help.
I have make one dress earlier for a child on my “work”, and a new one is
coming, but those dresses are not
as the ones I want to have in my collection.
This is the first dress I have made. I needed a lot of help when I made
this so I am not ready to make any
of my favourite dresses by my own yet. Maybe in
the future…..
I will have photos of the other dress too, but it is not finished
yet.

Question: How about copyright? Isn´t there any
copyright on movie dresses?
Answer: I have believed before that it was impossible to make copies of
the dresses in movies. I have heard
about copyright before. Then I decided to search on
the internet on “movie costumes” and was very surprised
that there was websites where people really did
copies of movie dresses.
When I have found some sites I want to start my collection.
Question: How can I trust you? I don´t know
you.
Answer: I know that it is difficult to trust people you don´t know. I think that we should learn to know each other
before we make any bigger orders. I want our contact
to be both in business and in friendship. I wish that we can
trust each other without any doubt.
Question: How close to the original dress do you want the copy to be?
Answer: As close as it can be because I will show them to others and
therefore it is important that the dress
looks like the one in the movie. A copy of a dress
in a movie cannot be an exact copy. If there is a dress
from a movie which is made of a very expensive
fabric I believe that some of them can be made in a
inexpensive fabric and still look like
the original. It is not possible with all movie dresses, some of them looks
better with the more expensive fabric and if there is
no alternative fabrics I will take the expensive one, but it
can be more difficult to pay the whole sum in one payment,
then it would be good if we can make an agreement
in payments.
Question: I can´t make the dress because I can´t see every details in your photos. Why do you want it
made?
Answer: Even if a movie dress doesn’t show as much as some seamstresses
wish them to do. (Front, back and whole
dress so they can see every detail in it). It still
can be made. I don´t care if the parts that are not
shown in the
movie or in any photo on the dress are exactly made.
That, I know, is impossible, but the parts that is shown
is possible to copy, then it is only possible to
take the imagination to help with the other parts. You only has
to think about which time in history the movie is
about. For an example: A dress from a movie in the Victorian
style is shown only from the waist and up, never in
whole person. How can someone make a copy of that? Well,
first you take the things that is shown, in this
case, from waist and up, and make a copy of that. Then you think
about witch style it is. The Victorian style was almost
always bustle dresses, so it has to be one of those. Then
all you have to do is to come up with a style that
is suitable to the other part of the dress, one question in this
case is “How big bustle should it be”? That’s all.
Every movie dress can be remade in some way.
Question: Is there anyone in your own country that can take your orders?
Answer: Yes, but it is only one place I have found yet and I want to
have some sites to choose from. And some-
times the seamstress is to busy so she (or he) can´t take a new order at that time. Therefore I want to do
orders from
other countries as well.
Question: Why does some of your links lead to empty pages?
Answer: Because I cannot show all of my favourite dresses. My website have a space for some of them
and the rest must wait for their turn. When I work
with my website the links are made and the photos are
placed on the site, but when I put out the site on
the internet only the links come out all at once. I must
choose which dresses I want to show. Not all of my
links lead to empty sites, and the pages are not “empty”,
I just haven´t been able to
send up those photos.
Question: Why do you have so many websites on your list?
Answer: Well, this question is something I have been wondering for
myself.
I have a list where I write down the websites that want to take orders
from me and the e-mail addresses to them.
I have a lot of sites on it. It is because I want to have as many
websites as possible on it. Because of that I can
choose some of them to send an order to. If they didn´t have any time to make it or if there is any problem
so
they can´t make it, I
just choose some new on the list and send the order to them. After some time I
find someone
who are willing to make it and then we start to
talk about the costs of the dress and other things around the order.
This last question is from me to you.
I have tried to send my question to some websites and my e-mails always
come back. I want to know if there
is anybody who can help me to contact them.

gone? They had wonderful dolls on that website. If there is anyone
out there that know them or know if they will come
back or where I can order those dolls now. Please, send me an
